Higher Education Destinations in 2014


At the time of writing, of the 43 Year 13 students who left the SJHS in 2013, 40 applied to university, of whom 37 (93%) have, at the time of writing, secured places at universities in various parts of the world. Of these:
  • 26 will attend institutions in the UK (70%)
  • 7 will attend institutions in the USA (19%)
  • 2 will attend universities in the Italy (5%)
  • 1 each will attend institutions in Germany and the USE (6%)

    Of these 37 students, 75% (28) will be attending their first-choice university while a further 19% (7) will be attending their insurance choice university. A further two students attained places through the UK Clearing system.

    Separately, two students are sitting entrance examinations in September for admission to Italian universities, while a third is sitting entrance examinations for admission to university in Hungary. Two students are taking planned gap years and did not apply to university.
