The Lower School has a varied range of after-school clubs where children can pursue their interests in language, writing, crafts and sports. Clubs take place from 3:30 to 4:30 and details of the cost, type and dates are be available before the beginning of each course.

Here is a sampling of some of the clubs on offer in the Lower School.

THE FANTASTIC FOREIGN LANGUAGES CLUB – Years 5 and 6 with Miss Mordue. Come and learn the basics of 3 foreign languages (French, German and Dutch) through songs, games, fun-filled activities. Maximum 10 children.

BEGINNERS ITALIAN CLUB – (different year groups) Let’s learn Italian. An Italian club to help young children learn Italian through games, stories and much more...

ITALIAN CLUB – Year 4 to 6 with Miss Zanellotti and Miss Andreoletti. This specific club is for students who have a high competence in oral language and need to improve written and comprehension skills.

CHINESE CLUB – Year 5 and 6 with Mr Francesco Boggio Ferraris. The language of the future Mandarin Chinese. Maximum 15 children.

CHESS CLUB – Years 4 to 6 with Miss Doegar. Maximum 14 children.

IRISH DANCING – Years 3 to 6 with Ms. Esther Bromley (the only teacher registered with AN COIMISIUN in Italy) in the school hall. An opportunity for children to discover the world of Irish Dance.

BOYS FOOTBALL – Year 4 and 5 with Miss Kennedy on the school astro-turf. Maximum 15 children.

BOYS FOOTBALL – Year 6 only with Mr Johnston on the school astro-turf. Maximum 15 children.

NETBALL – Years 6 and 7 mixed with Miss Paddock on the school hard court. Maximum 15.

MULTISPORTS – Year 3 to 6 with Miss Paddock in the gym. Maximum 15 children.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB – Years 3 to 6 with Mrs Richardson. Reading and writing stories of imagination. Concentrating and building on English writing skills and styles. Maximum 10 children.

OCARINA CLUB - Years 2, 3 and 4 with Miss Larner. The Ocarina is a musical instrument similar to the recorder, but much easier to play. This instrument is popular with both boys and girls and can be successfully played by all children. The children will learn to play simple tunes, even if they have never played a musical instrument before. Maximum 12 children.

CREATE WITH PAPER (ORIGAMI) - Years 4, 5 and 6 with Mrs Koo. (Korean certificate as Paper Folding Master). Korean art of paper creations. Maximum 10 children. (Extra charges will be made for materials).
