What is it?

Subject teachers are of course always available to help students between lessons and students are encouraged to use their initiative by seeking advice or support if needed it in a particular subject. This year, we have also set up a system of specific drop-in times. These are times that teachers from each subject have set aside during the week to discuss or give help to Year 12 and 13 students with a topic or piece of work. The timetable overleaf indicates when teachers will be running drop-in sessions. It’s a good idea for students to identify exactly what they want to discuss or ask, bring the appropriate notes or books and make an appointment beforehand (see note on the other side of this page about English and Drama in particular) in order to get the most out of this. I hope students make the most of this system and that it will help them to become successful independent learners.

Miss Lee, Head of Sixth Form.
