The SJHS seeks to provide a quality and balanced Italian programme for all its students whether Italian nationals or non Italians. The programme currently starts in Year 2 although ‘after school’ clubs in Italian are available for children in earlier years.
The school prepares Italian nationals for public examinations at the end of Year 6. For non Italians the school adopts the UK National Curriculum framework for second language teaching.
The teachers of the Lower School Italian Department are available weekly for individual meetings with parents on the following days :
Ombretta Zanellotti: 9.15am - 10.15am Thursday and 3.30pm - 4.30pm Thursday
Flora Tarantino: 9.15am - 11.15am Tuesday
Nicoletta Gaviraghi: 9.15am - 10.15am Tuesday and 9.00am - 10.00am Wednesday
Chiara Andreoletti: 9.00am - 09.40am Tuesday
