The Second Sjhs Science Fair, 2-3pm - Upper SchoolSJHS - Following the great success of last year’s Science Fair, the Y9 and Y12 students will be demonstrating their work on Tuesday 22nd June from 2 – 3pm.The Y9 students will be designing and carrying out their own investigations over the coming weeks which they will then demonstrate at the Fair. Several prestigious judges will be awarding prizes to the best entries and there will also be a chance for everyone who attends to vote for their favourite. As part of the IB programme, all Y12 students have to complete the ‘Group 4 Project’ which focuses on group participation and motivation. The grades achieved count towards the Internal Assessment part of the IB course. This year, the students will be taken to a fish farm near Maneggio to carry out their research. During the Science Fair they will be presenting their work, the results and conclusions that they derive from their projects. |
