Students receive three Grade Cards and a Full Report during the course of an academic Year.

Grade Cards are specifically designed to give parents quick feedback, roughly every six to seven weeks during the year.

The Grade Card has an Academic grade as well as levels from 1 to 5 for Effort, Homework Quality and Homework Punctuality.

The Full Report is issued at the end of the academic year for Years 7, 8 and 10 and in late April for Years 9, 11, 12 and 13.

It is a substantial document reporting on every aspect of a subject deemed to be important with targets set for students to further improve their performance

Each year group has one Parents’ Evening in the first term of an academic year. They follow the issue of a Grade Card.

Year 7 Parents are given the opportunity to meet with staff in the second term, usually in February, following the Mid Year Examinations. The purpose of this meeting is to give teachers the opportunity to report more accurately on the academic performance of Year 7 following six months in the Upper School. A timetable for all Parents’ Evenings is available upon request and is published on this website.

The Upper School has an ‘Open Door Policy’ giving parents the opportunity to meet with Co-ordinators, Director of Post 16 Studies, Subject teachers , tutors, Deputy Head and Head of Upper School at any time during the year.
